Body Computer Module: Removal

  1. Disconnect battery negative cable.
  2. Remove Combo-panel. See INSTRUMENT PANELS -- ALLANTE article.
  3. Remove retaining screw and pull BCM and mounting bracket out of cavity. See Fig 1 .
  4. Disconnect electrical connectors.
  5. Remove two nuts securing BCM to mounting bracket and mounting bracket from BCM.
  6. Remove bushings from bottom of BCM. Remove BCM from vehicle.
