DTC B336: Loss Of IPC Serial Data: Diagnosis
DTC B336 indicates a loss of data communication between the IPC and the BCM. When this occurs, if the IPC is digital, it will display incorrect odometer information. If this occurs with an analog cluster, the volts gauge will remain at the far left (8 volt) position with the ignition on. Possible causes of this code are:
- Loss of 7 volts (CKT 807) to the IPC.
- Loss of ground (CKT 801) to the IPC.
- Opens in both CKTs 800B and 800C.
- Faulty IPC.
