Pcm Code E039, VCC Engagement Problem (2 Of 2): Notes

NOTE: Test numbers refer to numbers on diagnostic chart.

This chart should be used after verifying proper operation of PCM and circuits.
At this point, no current electrical faults exist. Under normal operating conditions, VCC and VCC MOD indicator will come on at same time VCC applies; VCC MOD indicator will flash briefly and go out. At this time, VCC is in full apply. VCC test should be run with A/C off since A/C cycling can affect engine RPM.
If VCC does not engage or disengage under control of Transmission Break Out Box (J-38791), diagnosis of transmission is indicated.
