Checking Fluid Levels: Introduction

The following fluid checking procedure is only valid when the vehicle is cold and has not been driven. Transaxle temperature should be 70-90°F (21-32°C). Transaxle temperature is PCM Parameter PD77. The vehicle should be parked on a level surface.

If any of the preceding conditions are not met, the check is invalid. Approximately five minutes are available to complete this procedure before the maximum cold temperature is exceeded.
