Idle Speed

NOTE: On Eldorado, idle speed is controlled by ECM/PCM. Slight fluctuations in idle speed are considered normal. Ensure ISC plunger adjustment is correct.

To check Idle Speed Control (ISC) authority, compare minimum TP sensor value (with ISC plunger retracted) to maximum TP sensor value (ISC plunger extended). ISC authority should be adjusted to 10-11 degrees of throttle angle. Adjust ISC plunger using ISC Adjusting Wrench (J-29607).
