Engine Cranks But Does Not Start
- If SECURITY light does not function correctly, see PASS-KEY(R) DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK. If SECURITY light does function correctly, turn ignition off and disconnect decoder module connector. Turn ignition on and measure voltage between module harness terminal A3 (Dark Blue wire) and ground.
- If voltage is not approximately 5 volts, check circuit and connections between Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and decoder module for an open or short to ground. If circuit is okay, replace PCM.
- If voltage is approximately 5 volts, turn ignition off and reconnect decoder module. Turn ignition on and measure voltage between decoder module terminal A3 (Dark Blue wire) and ground.
- If approximately 2.5 volts is present, PASS-Key(R) system is operating correctly. If approximately 2.5 volts is not present, replace decoder module and see PASS-KEY(R) DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK.
