TP Sensor/Idle Learn With Tech 1

Perform IDLE SPEED CONTROL (ISC) CHECK (4.0L) before performing this procedure. Ensure all accessories are off. Ensure coolant temperature is 176°F (80°C). Install Tech 1 scan tester. Select ISC SYSTEM on Tech 1 scan tester. From MISC TEST mode, select TP SENSOR/IDLE LEARN. Proceed with TP SENSOR/IDLE LEARN functions as directed. PCM memory will be updated with correct throttle angle offset.
NOTE:
Ensure accelerator and brake pedals are free from any obstructions while performing TP sensor/idle learn procedure. PCM will not perform learn function with accelerator pedal or brake pedal obstructions.
NOTE:
TP sensor/idle learn procedure should be performed with A/C on and with A/C off due to engine load differences.
