Throttle Position (TP) signal is used by EBTCM to monitor actual throttle position versus desired throttle position. This monitors and controls engine torque during TCS operation.

DTC 67 will set if a throttle position sensor circuit fault is detected by PCM which sends a fault signal to EBTCM.

NOTE: Test numbers refer to numbers on diagnostic chart.

  1. Checks for TP sensor related PCM DTCs. Some conditions that cause a TCS DTC 67 will also cause PCM DTCs. PCM DTCs should be repaired first to eliminate problems affecting TCS DTC 67 condition.
  2. Checks if DTC 67 resets.
