Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Always disable the SIR system when servicing the SIR components, or the SIR wiring. Failure to follow the disabling procedures could result in possible deployment, personal injury, or otherwise unneeded SIR system repairs
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM
    2. Fig 1: Torx® screws

  2. Remove the Torx® screws from the back of the steering wheel

  3. Disconnect the inflatable restraint steering wheel module connector
  4. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module
