DTC C0551: Option Configuration Error (1998): Notes

Perform diagnostic system check. See DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK. After performing diagnostic system check, go to next step.
If EBTCM requires programming, using scan tool, select ABS diagnostics. Select and run ABS programming. After programming is complete, go to next step.
Install scan tool. Turn ignition on, with engine off. Using scan tool, read DTCs. If DTC sets as current, go to next step. If DTC does not set as current, see INTERMITTENTS & POOR CONNECTIONS under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING.
Replace EBTCM.
