DTC B2471: Interior Lights Fault: Testing

  1. Turn ignition off. Remove courtesy light relay from rear compartment relay center No. 2. Connect scan tool to DLC. Select BCM TEST and inadvertent power. Turn inadvertent power ON. Use DVOM to measure voltage between ground and courtesy light relay connector terminal A9 (Orange wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If battery voltage is indicated, go to next step. If battery voltage is not indicated, go to step  6 .
  2. Use DVOM to measure voltage between courtesy light relay connector terminals A9 (Orange wire) and B7 (Dark Blue wire). If battery voltage is indicated, go to next step. If battery voltage is not indicated, go to step  4 .
  3. Replace courtesy light relay. After repairs, recheck courtesy light operation.
  4. Check for open in Dark Blue wire between PZM and courtesy light relay. If faulty circuit is found, go to step . If circuit is okay, go to next step.
  5. Replace PZM. See PLATFORM ZONE MODULE (PZM)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs, recheck courtesy light operation.
  6. Repair open or short to ground in Orange wire between courtesy light relay and underhood fuse block. After repairs, recheck courtesy light operation.
  7. Repair suspect wiring. After repairs, recheck courtesy light operation.
