Both Power Mirrors Inoperative

  1. If outside mirrors system check was performed, go to next step. If outside mirrors system check was not performed, go to OUTSIDE MIRROR SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  2. Using DVOM, test for open in Orange wire between outside mirror switch connector terminal "E" (DeVille) or "H" (Eldorado) and MIRROR fuse (10-amp) located in underhood fuse block. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If faulty circuit is found, go to step 5). If circuit is okay, go to next step.
  3. Using DVOM, test for open in Black wire between outside mirror switch connector terminal "D" (DeVille) or "A" (Eldorado) and ground. If faulty circuit is found, go to step 6). If circuit is okay, go to next step.
  4. Replace outside mirror switch. See POWER MIRROR SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation.
  5. Repair open in Orange wire. Recheck system operation.
  6. Repair open in Black wire. Recheck system operation.
