DTC B1007: EEPROM Write Error: Testing

  1. If remote keyless entry diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If remote keyless entry diagnostic system check was not performed, go to REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY (RKE) DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
  2. Using scan tool, clear DTC B1007. Turn ignition off and back on again. Recheck for DTCs. If DTC B1000 is still present, go to next step. If DTC B1007 is no longer present, go to REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY (RKE) DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
  3. Replace Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module. See REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY (RKE) MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
