DTC B3108: Transmitter Synchronization Failure: Testing

  1. If remote keyless entry diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If remote keyless entry diagnostic system check was not performed, go to REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY (RKE) DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
  2. Resynchronize transmitter. See SYNCHRONIZING TRANSMITTERS  under PROGRAMMING PROCEDURES. If transmitter now operates properly, go to REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY (RKE) DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  . If transmitter does not operate properly, go to next step.
  3. Using a known-good transmitter, test RKE system operation. If known-good transmitter operates system properly, go to next step. If known-good transmitter does not operate system properly, go to step  5 .
  4. Replace transmitter battery. After replacement, transmitter will need to be programmed. See TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING  under PROGRAMMING PROCEDURES. If transmitter now operates properly, go to REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY (RKE) DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  . If transmitter does not operate properly, go to step  7 .
  5. Connect scan tool and enter RKE diagnosis. Check last button pressed function to assure proper transmitter operation. If scan tool read correct transmitter used and function requested, go to next step. If scan tool does not read correct transmitter used and function requested, go to step  7 .
  6. Replace RKE module. See REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY (RKE) MODULE  .
  7. Replace faulty transmitter. After replacement, transmitter must be programmed. See TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING  under PROGRAMMING PROCEDURES.
