DTC P1511: Throttle Control System - Back-Up System Performance: Description

Engine Control Module (ECM) controls throttle valves by applying a varying voltage to throttle valve motor. ECM monitors actual throttle blade position using Throttle Position (TP) sensor 1 and sensor 2. ECM tests ability of throttle blade to operate in limp home throttle angle opening. When correct operating conditions are met, ECM will command throttle blade to limp home throttle angle opening. If throttle blade does not operate in desired throttle range, this DTC will set.
