Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING SYSTEM .
  2. Remove the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement - On Vehicle (Power Tilt)  or Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement - On Vehicle (Manual Tilt) .
  3. Disconnect the theft deterrent module electrical connector.
  4. Remove the tie straps from the theft deterrent module wiring harness.
  5. Remove the theft deterrent module.
