Removal & Installation: Generator: Installation

  1. Position and secure the generator above the A/C compressor clutch pulley.
  2. Install the A/C compressor/generator front bracket.
  3. Install bolts securing A/C compressor/generator front bracket to engine and A/C compressor. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. Install generator.
  5. Install bolts securing generator to engine and A/C compressor. Tighten to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  6. Connect wiring harness connector to the generator.
  7. Connect battery positive lead and install generator output BAT terminal nut. Tighten to specifications.
  8. Press the protective cover on to the generator output BAT terminal.
  9. Position the generator access cover to the front compartment lower panel.
  10. Install bolts securing the generator access cover to the front compartment lower panel.
  11. Install engine splash shield.
  12. Lower vehicle.
  13. Install upper front mounting bolt.
  14. Install radiator support sight shield.
  15. Install drive belt.
  16. Connect battery negative cable.
