Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to SIR CAUTION in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM in SIR.
  2. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to AIR BAG MODULES in SIR.
  3. Remove the steering wheel control switch pack retaining screws.
  4. Note the routing of the electrical harness.
  5. Remove the electrical harness from the harness clips.
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  7. Remove the steering wheel control switch pack (1).
