Accessory Mounting Bracket: Installation

1. Position accessory mounting bracket to engine. Install 4 bolts securing accessory mounting bracket to engine. Tighten accessory mounting bracket bolts in sequence to specification. See Fig 2 . See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
2. Position A/C compressor to accessory mounting bracket. Install A/C compressor mounting bolts and tighten bolts to specification. Connect electrical connector to A/C compressor.
3. Install remote power steering reservoir mounting bolts. Tighten remote power steering reservoir to intake plenum mounting bolts to specification. See Figure . Tighten remote power steering reservoir to cylinder head mounting bolt to specification.
4. Connect vacuum brake booster hose and wiring harness to remote power steering fluid reservoir. Position power steering pump to accessory mounting bracket. Install power steering pump mounting bolts. Tighten the power steering pump mounting bolts in sequence to specification. See Fig 3 .
5. Install drive belt. Install power steering pressure hose retainer and nut to A/C compressor stud. Tighten power steering hose retaining nut to specification.
6. Install power steering return hose retainer and nut to A/C compressor stud. Tighten power steering hose retaining nut to specification.
7. Connect retainer securing engine wiring harness to A/C pressure hose. Connect the retainer securing engine wiring harness to accessory mounting bracket.
8. Install intake air resonator. See INTAKE AIR RESONATOR  under AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS.
9. Install air cleaner assembly. See AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY  under AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS.
