Test Description

The numbers below refer to the step number in diagnostic procedure.

   Listen for an audible click when the Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) solenoid operates. Command both the ON and OFF states. Repeat the commands as necessary.
2. 4
   
   This step verifies that the ECM is providing ground to the IMRC solenoid.
3. 5
   
   This step tests for an open in the battery positive voltage circuit to the IMRC solenoid.
4. 6
   
   This step tests if voltage is constantly being applied to the IMRC solenoid control circuit.
