NOTE: This bulletin is being revised to correct the Labor Time Operation. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 02-07-30-033 (Section 07-Transmission/Transaxle).

CONDITION

Some customers may comment that their vehicle is unable to be properly serviced or tested due to the inability of non-Tech 2(R) service or test equipment to communicate with the vehicle's TCM.

CAUSE

Some non-Tech 2(R) service and test equipment may be unable to establish communication with the vehicle's on board TCM.

CORRECTION

Re-program the vehicle TCM using the SPS programing procedure, TIS 2000, software version 6.5 or newer.
