Installation Procedure

  1. Install the power steering reservoir.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the power steering reservoir mounting bolts (1 and 3).

    Tighten 

    • Tighten the bolts (1) to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
    • Tighten the bolt (3) to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  3. Connect the wiring harness (2) to the power steering reservoir (1).
  4. Connect the brake vacuum hose to the power steering reservoir.

  5. Connect the power steering reservoir outlet hose to the power steering reservoir.

  6. Connect the power steering return hose to the power steering reservoir.
  7. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
  8. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to BLEEDING THE POWER STEERING SYSTEM  .
