Shift Control Boot/Adapter Plate (5-Speed): Installation
- Install shift control boot and adaptor plate assembly to the vehicle. See Figure .
- Install the 4 nuts (1) securing shift control adaptor plate to tunnel reinforcement. See Figure .
- Lift up on shift control lever to bring shift control assembly in contact with shift control adaptor plate.
- Install the 2 bolts (2) securing shift control assembly to shift control adaptor plate. See Figure .
- Install the electrical connector (1) to shift control adaptor plate (2). See Figure .
- Install sound insulator foam block into the console. See Figure .
- Install the shift control knob/closeout boot. See SHIFT CONTROL KNOB/CLOSEOUT BOOT (5-SPEED) .
