Installation Procedure

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Install the linear shift assembly and the tapping screws.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  2. Connect the park lock cable assembly (1) to the ignition lock cylinder case assembly.

  3. Install the A/T shift lock actuator.
  4. Install the steering column trim covers. Refer to STEERING COLUMN TRIM COVERS REPLACEMENT (POWER TILT)  or STEERING COLUMN TRIM COVERS REPLACEMENT (MANUAL TILT)  .
  5. Enable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING SYSTEM in SIR.
