Installation Procedure

CAUTION: In order to avoid personal injury or vehicle damage when you repair or replace the carpet, use the same thickness and material size as the original Installation. Always return the carpet to the original location.
All floor pan insulator material must meet Federal Vehicle Safety Standards for flammability. Failure to do so could result in personal injury and/or vehicle damage.
  1. Position the front floor carpet (1,2) into place over the front edge of the rear carpet.
  2. Make sure the electrical connector (5) is carefully positioned under the front carpet piece.
  3. Align the carpet to the dash panel, rocker panel, tunnel and seat attachment areas.
  4. Tuck the carpet behind the tab on the HVAC duct.
  5. Ensure all wrinkles are removed.

  6. Install the center console. Refer to CONSOLE REPLACEMENT -- FRONT FLOOR in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  7. Install the center pillar garnish molding. Refer to GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT - CENTER PILLAR  .
  8. Install the front carpet retainer. Refer to CARPET RETAINER REPLACEMENT - FRONT  .
  9. Install the rear carpet retainer. Refer to CARPET RETAINER REPLACEMENT - REAR  .
  10. Install the front seat. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT -- BUCKET in Seats.
