Installation Procedure

Install the generator bracket to the engine.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the generator bracket bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the generator bracket bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
Install the accessory drive belt idler pulley. Refer to Drive Belt Idler Pulley Replacement - Accessory in Engine Mechanical - 5.7L.
Install the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement (LA3, LY9) or Generator Replacement (LS6) or Generator Replacement (LY7) .
Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure .
