Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.

  4. Remove the upper control arm to steering knuckle pinch bolt and nut.
  5. Disconnect the upper ball joint from the steering knuckle.

  7. Remove the shock module lower mounting bolts (1).
  8. Lower the vehicle.

  10. Remove the air conditioning line retaining nut from the shock tower.
  11. Position the air conditioning line bracket a side.

  13. Remove the shock module upper mounting bolts.
  14. Remove the shock module from the vehicle.
