Installation Procedure

  1. Install the side impact inflator module (1) to the seat.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the 2 mounting fasteners (1) to the side impact inflator module (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the fasteners to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  3. Install the shoulder belt finish cover (2).
  4. Install the fastener (1) in order to retain the shoulder belt finish cover (2).
  5. Tighten the fastener (1), fully driven, seated and not stripped.
  6. Install the head restraint shoulder belt trim covers.

  7. Install the seat back finish panel.
  8. Install the 2 fasteners which retain the seat back finish panel.
  9. Tighten the fasteners, fully driven, seated and not stripped.

  10. Install the lower trim cover to the front seat belt retractor.
  11. Install the seat back panel. Refer to Seat Back Panel Replacement - Front .
  12. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 7  or SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 9 .
