Installation Procedure

  1. Slide the seat back straight down into recliner assembly and align the bolt holes.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install 4 seat back frame bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the seat back frame bolts to 28 N.m (21 lb ft).

  3. Connect the heated seat electrical connectors, if equipped with KA1.

  4. Connect the air lines for the adaptive lumbar, if equipped with AC9.
  5. Connect the lumbar electrical connector.

  6. Connect the side impact air bag electrical connector.
  7. Install the seat back cover and pad. Refer to SEAT BACK COVER AND PAD REPLACEMENT - FRONT   . 
  8. Install the front seat belt shoulder retractor. Refer to SEAT BELT REPLACEMENT -- DRIVER OR PASSENGER  in Seat Belts.
  9. Install the rear seat belt post finish cover.
  10. Install the rear seat belt post finish cover fasteners.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the fasteners fully driven, seated, but not stripped.

  11. Install the seat back trim cover. Refer to SEAT BACK PANEL REPLACEMENT - FRONT   . 
  12. Install the front bucket seat into the vehicle. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUCKET   .
