Removal Procedure

When the battery or the power has been removed from the front door module, the front door module will need to be reprogrammed after power is restored and all repairs are completed.

1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - SIDE FRONT DOOR   . 
2. Remove the door module. Refer to DOOR CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT   . 
3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to WATER DEFLECTOR REPLACEMENT - FRONT DOOR   . 
4. Remove the inner belt molding. Refer to SEALING STRIP REPLACEMENT - FRONT DOOR WINDOW BELT INNER   . 
   CAUTION: Refer to EXPRESS WINDOW DOWN CAUTION in Cautions and Notices.
5. Reconnect the power window switch and module.
6. Raise the window to the full up position.
7. Tape the window in place.
   CAUTION: Refer to GLASS & SHEET METAL HANDLING CAUTION in Cautions and Notices.
8. Loosen the window clamp attachment fasteners four revolutions.

9. Lower the regulator clamps (2) to the full down position.
10. Remove the window from the door in the following order:
    1. 10.1. While supporting the window through the access hole of the inner panel, remove the tape holding the window up.
    2. 10.2. Lower the window slightly.
    3. 10.3. Tilt the window downward at the front.
    4. 10.4. Pull upward on the rear edge of the window.
    5. 10.5. Pull the window up and out of the door from the outer side of the window opening.
