Removal Procedure

  1. Open the door.
  2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Standard)  or Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (WC2, WC8) .
  3. Remove the door module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement .
  4. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door .
  5. Remove the door check link cover (2).

  6. Remove the 2 studs from the door check link arm.

  7. Note the position of the arrow on the check link arm to aid in reassembly.
  8. Remove the 2 fasteners from the check link.
  9. Remove the check link through the front access hole of the inner door panel.
