Sunroof Track Timing/Synchronization

    IMPORTANT: If the power sunroof actuator motor is the only part being serviced, follow the power sunroof actuator motor replacement procedure for the sunroof actuator to sunroof window timing.
    A new replacement power sunroof actuator motor is set to the fully closed and flush position at the factory.
  1. Remove the sunroof window. Refer to Sunroof Window Replacement .
  2. Fabricate a gage (2) out of a piece of paper. The width (A) of the gage is 46.8 mm (1.84 in).
  3. Set the gage into the track near the rear of the opening between the move driver slide (1) and the bracket.

  4. Move the driver slide fore or aft in order to get the proper setting.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the other side.
  6. Install the sunroof window. Refer to Sunroof Window Replacement .
  7. Install the sunroof actuator motor.
  8. Operate the sunroof through all functions to ensure proper operation.
