Installation Procedure

- Install the stop lamp switch into the retainer.
- Press the switch (2) into the retainer until the switch plunger is fully depressed into the switch barrel.
- Rotate the switch (2) clockwise until travel has stopped and the switch locks fully into position.
- Connect the stop lamp/ABS/shift lock switch electrical connector to the stop lamp switch (2).
- Adjust the stop lamp switch. Refer to Stop Lamp Switch Adjustment .
- Install sound insulator. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
IMPORTANT:
The stop lamp switch is self adjusting when installed properly in the fully locked position. The twist lock type switch requires no further adjustment.
