Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Allow sufficient time for the engine to cool before removing the ECT sensor. A hot engine may cause an excessive coolant loss or a personal injury.

Turn the ignition OFF.

Remove the shielding from around the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor.
Disconnect the ECT sensor electrical connector.

Remove the ECT sensor.
