Installation Procedure

  1. Install the shift cable through the cowl panel and seat the grommet.

  2. Slide the transaxle range selector cable (1) fully into the console until it snaps into place.
  3. Connect the transaxle range selector cable terminal to the shift lever pin.
  4. Install the front floor console trim plate. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement - Front Floor Console (DTS) in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  5. Install the left console trim panel. Refer to Console Trim Panel Replacement - Left (DTS) in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

  6. Insert the transaxle range selector cable (2) into the bracket.
  7. Connect the transaxle range selector cable terminal to the transaxle manual shift lever pin (1).
  8. Install the retainer to the transaxle range selector cable mechanism.
  9. Adjust the automatic transmission range selector cable. Refer to Automatic Transmission Range Selector Cable Adjustment .
