Removal Procedure

Remove the transmission fluid pan and filter. Refer to Automatic Transmission Fluid/Filter Replacement .

Disconnect the electrical wiring harness connector (3) from the output speed sensor (2).

Remove the output speed sensor bolt (3).
Remove the output speed sensor (2).
Remove the output speed sensor spacer (1).
Inspect the output speed sensor (2) for the following conditions:
- Damaged or missing magnet
- Damaged housing
- Bent or missing electrical terminals
