Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition ON, use the scan tool to request DTCs. Verify that DTC B1015 is set current.
    • If DTC B1015 is history, clear codes and recheck.
  2. Check the BCM for the VIN. Verify the correct VIN is programmed into the BCM.
    • If the BCM has a VIN which is different from the vehicle then programmed the BCM with the correct VIN. Refer to BCM in Repair Instructions for programming procedure.
  3. Check the object alarm module for the correct VIN. Verify the correct VIN is programmed into the object alarm module.
    • If the object alarm module has a VIN different from the vehicle then programmed the object alarm module with the correct VIN. Refer to object alarm module in Repair Instructions for programming.
