Installation Procedure

  1. Install the window regulator into the door.
    2. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  2. Install the window regulator bolts (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
  3. Remove the tape from the window.
  4. Lower the window into the window regulator clamps.

    The glass must be fully rearward into the window channel when it is seated in the window clamps.

  5. Connect the power window motor electrical connector.
    6. NOTE: Start the vehicle to ensure maximum power to the window motor. This is required to fully seat the window for adjustment.
  6. Start the vehicle.
  7. Raise the window to the full up position. Tighten the window clamp nuts to 11 N.m (95 lb in).
  8. Check for proper window operation and a tight seal.
  9. Shut off the vehicle.
  10. Install the water deflector.
  11. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
