Installation Procedure

  1. Install the yaw rate sensor and lateral accelerometer (1).

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  2. Install the yaw rate sensor and lateral accelerometer bolt (1) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  3. Install the yaw rate sensor and lateral accelerometer nuts (1) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
  4. Connect the yaw rate sensor and lateral accelerometer electrical connector.
  5. Position the carpet to the floor.
  6. Install a scan tool.
  7. Using the special functions menu on the scan tool, reset the yaw rate sensor.
  8. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle .
