Installation Procedure

  1. Install the power steering pump to the power steering pump bracket. Refer to Power Steering Pump Bracket Replacement (V6) .

  2. Install the power steering pump with bracket to the vehicle.
    3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Install the power steering pump bracket to the engine mounting bolts (1-3) and tighten to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
  4. Connect the power steering pressure hose to the power steering pump.

  5. Connect the power steering reservoir outlet hose to the power steering pump.
  6. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
  7. Install the power steering pulley. Refer to Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement .
  8. Install the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement .
  9. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
  10. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement .
