Installation Procedure

    IMPORTANT: Do not lubricate the O-ring seal prior to installation to the brake modulator assembly motor.

  1. Install a new O-ring seal to the brake modulator assembly motor. Ensure the seal is fully seated in the groove of the brake modulator assembly motor and is not twisted.

  3. Install the electronic brake control position sensor (1).
  4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

  5. Install the electronic brake control position sensor bolts (1). Tighten the bolts in a cross pattern.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  6. Connect the electronic brake control position sensor electrical connector.

  8. Install the ABS module splash shield (1).

  10. Install the ABS module splash shield bolts (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  12. Install the ABS module splash shield retainers (1).
  13. Install a scan tool to the vehicle.
  14. Using the special functions menu on the scan tool, perform the electronic brake control sensor learn procedure.
  15. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle (without HP2) or Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle (with HP2) .
