Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2003 GMC Yukon XL, 2003 GMC Yukon, 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2003 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Insert and pull the cable toward the front of the vehicle through the hole in the cowl.
Ensure that the grommet is seated.

Attach the cable end to the latch assembly.

Attach the cable to the retainer clips.
Attach the cable end to the cable handle.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
Attach the cable handle underneath the IP.
Tighten
1. Tighten the cable handle nut to 11 N.m (97 lb in).
Install the left hinge pillar trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - HINGE PILLAR in Interior Trim.
Close the hood.
