Preliminary Procedures Remove the steering gear. Refer to Electric Dual Pinion Rack and Pinion Steering Gear Replacement .
1	Steering Gear Bushing - Lower Procedure Remove and DISCARD the lower steering gear bushing using suitable pliers. Lubricate the NEW lower steering gear bushing with a mild soap to aid in installation.
2	Steering Gear Bushing - Upper Procedure Remove and DISCARD the upper steering gear bushing using a suitable punch and soft rubber mallet. Lubricate the NEW upper steering gear bushing with a mild soap to aid in installation.

Steering Gear Bushing - Lower

Procedure

Remove and DISCARD the lower steering gear bushing using suitable pliers.
Lubricate the NEW lower steering gear bushing with a mild soap to aid in installation.

Steering Gear Bushing - Upper

Procedure

Remove and DISCARD the upper steering gear bushing using a suitable punch and soft rubber mallet.
Lubricate the NEW upper steering gear bushing with a mild soap to aid in installation.
