Preliminary Procedures Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief . Remove the fuel pump insulator. Refer to Fuel Pump Insulator Replacement .
1	Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe Fittings (Qty: 2) CAUTION: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution . Tighten 28 N.m (21 lb ft)
2	Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe Position 2 Procedure DISCARD the old fuel feed pipe and install a NEW fuel feed pipe. Ensure that the high pressure fuel pipe and fuel pump fittings are clean and dry prior to assembly. Pressure up the fuel system and check for leaks.

Tighten
28 N.m (21 lb ft)

Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe Position 2

Procedure

DISCARD the old fuel feed pipe and install a NEW fuel feed pipe.
Ensure that the high pressure fuel pipe and fuel pump fittings are clean and dry prior to assembly.
Pressure up the fuel system and check for leaks.
