Installation Procedure

  1. Battery (1)» Install

  2. Battery Vent Tube (2)» Engage

  3. Battery Hold Down Retainer (3)» Install
  4. Battery Hold Down Bolt (1)» Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution
  5. Battery Hold Down Strap (2)» Install

  6. Battery Hold Down Strap Fastener (1)» Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
  7. Battery Positive Cable (3)» Install

  8. Battery Positive Post Clamp Nut (1)» Tighten 6 N.m (53 lb in)
  9. Battery Positive Post Cover (2)» Install
  10. Battery Distribution Fuse Block Cover (3)» Install

  11. Battery Distribution Fuse Block Cover Retainer (1)» Engage [2x]
  12. Battery Distribution Fuse Block Cover Fastener (2)» Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
  13. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
