Installation Procedure

Clean all mating surfaces.
Install the exhaust manifold (3) to the cylinder head with a NEW gasket (2).

Install NEW fasteners (1) and hand tighten.
NOTE: Fasteners have adhesive patch and must be tightened to final torque within 5 minutes.
Tighten the exhaust manifold fasteners in 3 passes in the sequence shown to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
Install the exhaust manifold brace. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Brace Replacement (LTG) .
Install the turbocharger. Refer to Turbocharger Replacement .
Install the exhaust manifold heat shield. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield Replacement (Upper, LTG) .
