Transfer Case Shift Control Module

The transfer case control module (TCCM) uses the vehicle identification number (VIN) information for calculations based on axle ratio, transmission, tire size, engine size and other specifics. When wheel slippage is detected, the module sends a signal to the actuator motor which applies the clutch pack. The clutch pack sends power to the front propshaft and front axle, transferring torque to the front wheels. When slip is no longer detected by the TCCM, the clutch is reduced.
