Installation Procedure

Position the intermediate steering shaft (1) on the vehicle.

Intermediate Steering Shaft Upper Bolt (1)» Install and tighten 30 N.m (22 lb ft)

CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
1. Clean the threads of the bolt with denatured alcohol or equivalent and allow to dry.
2. Apply thread locking adhesive to the bolt. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants and Sealers
Intermediate Steering Shaft Lower Bolt (1)» Install and tighten 50 N.m (37 lb ft)

1. Clean the threads of the bolt with denatured alcohol or equivalent and allow to dry.
2. Apply thread locking adhesive to the bolt. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants and Sealers
