Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the electrical connector and install the starter (1)

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Tighten Install the starter mounting bolts (2) 58 N.m (43 lb ft)
  3. Reposition Heated Oxygen Sensor Electrical Connector (1)

  4. Install Battery Positive Cable (2)
  5. Tighten Starter Solenoid Cable Nut (1) 12.5 N.m (111 lb in)
  6. Tighten Battery Positive Cable Retainer Fastener (3) 6 N.m (53 lb in)

  7. Install Knock Sensor-Bank 2 (3) - Knock Sensor Replacement - Bank 2 (LGX)

  8. Install Starter Heat Shield (2) - Starter Shield Replacement (LGX) 
  9. Lower the vehicle.
  10. Connect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (without KL9) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (with KL9) .
