Removal Procedure

  1. Remove Intake Manifold Cover Replacement - Front
  2. Remove Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement 
  3. Remove Supercharger Belt Idler Pulley Replacement (Supercharger Belt Tensioner Bracket)Supercharger Belt Idler Pulley Replacement (Engine Coolant Manifold - Upper)Supercharger Belt Idler Pulley Replacement (Engine Coolant Manifold - Lower)

  4. Remove the camshaft position sensor bracket fasteners (1) from the engine block.
    5. Fig 2: Oil Pump Flow Control Valve Connector, Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Connector, Camshaft Position Sensor Connector And Engine Wiring Harness Connector

  5. Disconnect the oil pump flow control valve connector (1), camshaft position actuator solenoid connector (2), camshaft position sensor connector (3), and the engine wiring harness connector (4).
  6. Remove Engine Oil Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement (LT4)

  7. Remove the camshaft position sensor bracket and sensor wiring harness (1).

    NOTE:

    If reinstalling the original camshaft position sensor, replace seal (2). Always install the NEW seal supplied with the NEW camshaft position sensor.

  8. Remove the camshaft position sensor (1) from the engine front cover.
